With today’s lightweight construction and highly insulated roofs the science (or art) of roofing has become extremely complex. Determining the correct type of deck, insulation, felts and other components is critical. If the insulation is wet or if the felts are asbestos for example, the cost factors may dictate a change in the type of action selected.
Selecting a membrane is no longer a simple task. There are over 100 membrane materials all claiming to be the best. Today’s membranes can be installed in over one thousand different systems. All of these systems can be the right choice if installed properly and under the correct conditions. When they are not, disasters can occur. RSI utilizes Accredited Roof Observers/Consultants to observe and document project progress. This results in better quality installations and contributes to the Owner’s peace-of-mind that their roof was installed as specified.

RSI provides Quality Assurance (QA) Monitoring and compliance with our on-site Registered Roof Observers (RRO) certified by the Roof Consultants Institute (RCI). All of RSI’s roofing and waterproofing specifications have the design covered by an Errors and Omissions policy.
The cost of our services pays for itself in the savings that the Owner incurs. RSI’ s designs have proven to result in substantial savings.
